Overview

This position is an exciting opportunity for a growth minded LCSW or Psychologist who collaborates well with treating provider(s), care management, and allied health professional team to plan and direct care according to best practice standards. This individual will be responsible for consulting and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to meet departmental and organizational goals, in addition to direct care responsibilities.

 

The LCSW or Psychologist is responsible for the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders. The LCSW or Psychologist will help the patient to understand and manage problems and challenges by identifying patient strengths as well as any resources that may be available. Treatment will be tailored to the individual needs of the patient and may include a variety of techniques.

 

The ideal candidate will be experienced in delivering behavioral health services to children, adolescents, and their families. 

Responsibilities

 

Will work in a collaborative setting with access to other providers. 

 

  • Psychotherapy
    • Evaluate and diagnose patients' psychological concerns and issues according to DSM5.
    • Meet with patients on a regular basis to talk about any problems, feelings, thoughts, behaviors, and relationships.
    • Help patient find a solution to their problems through exploration of thought patterns, behaviors, past experiences, and other influences.
    • Plans and implements individualized formulation-driven empirically validated psychological interventions.
    • Communicate complex/sensitive information to patients and or families if needed.
    • Refer patients to other disciplines for consult and evaluations as indicated.
  • Maintains current and active clinical records
    • Prepare SOAP notes and documentation timely and accurately.
    • Comply with organizational, state, and federal regulations and guidelines.
    • Document clinically relevant patient data in a timely and accurate manner.
    • Administers self-report scales as needed (IE: PHQ-8 PHQ-9, etc.).
  • Provide evidenced based treatment and collaborate with colleagues
    • Attend supervisions and meetings to stay up to date on clinical best practice.
    • Complete mandatory organizational training as needed.
    • Review relevant literature, synthesize evidence-based materials, and translate complex behavioral health concerns.
    • Act as resource to other disciplines.
    • Provide psychological expertise and education to multidisciplinary team.
    • Will comply with state licensure requirements.

Qualifications

Education/Certification/License: 

  • Licensed or license eligible clinical social worker in the state of Indiana (LCSW). Graduated from a CSWE accredited program.

OR

  • Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) required

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Specialized training or experience in pediatric behavioral health or developmental disorders.
  • Familiarity with community resources for families and children.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in behavioral health preferred. Will consider a new graduate. 
  • Competence and experience with electronic charting.
  • Ability to work collegially with staff members from multiple offices.
  • Ability to manage multiple patients simultaneously.
  • Ability and willingness to communicate in a positive, effective manner, internally and externally.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with patients, families and client providers.
  • A background and ability to work with populations with special needs.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-directed with the ability to work independently and in groups.
  • Exceptional time management skills, with a high level of individual initiative.
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational, planning, and problem solving skills.
  • Can be depended upon to effectively plan and organize multiple assignments to ensure workload’s completion, yet flexible enough to handle changing schedules.

Special Demands/Requirements:

Travel between two campuses (Eddy Street & Portage Rd). Occasional, local travel may be required for off-site meetings.
