Location: Eddy Street Campus; 211 N Eddy Street, South Bend, IN 46617

 

Hours: Full Time; 40 Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00 am-5:00 pm

Responsibilities

  • IT support of Epic modules and other related applications
  • Resolve training related issues in real-time with end users
  • Provide multi-faceted support and training options
  • Complete requested Epic build for local operational requirements
  • Differentiate Epic build needs verses training needs
  • Troubleshoot and understand end user needs
  • Escalate to and partner with Epic analysts for larger build requirements needed for local support
  • Test completed Epic build requests for accuracy
  • Participate in additional projects as assigned by supervisor
  • Work effectively and efficiently as part of a team on assignments.  Can work independently on some assignments.  Take direction.
  • Collaborate with customers, Epic analysts, other IT professionals to meet challenges and coordinate resources to achieve quality outcomes
  • Escalate problems and concerns to supervisors
  • Develop how-to documentation and workflows for end-users and fellow team members
  • Provide on-call support

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Skill in communicating effectively in both oral and written form for the needs of the audience
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changes and assist with a variety of issues
  • Ability to combine pieces of information to form general rules or conclusions
  • Ability to utilize PC software applications in the creation, analysis and retrieval of data
  • Ability to complete independent and thorough research on workflows and technical configuration options
  • Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work while meeting multiple deadlines
  • Ability to communicate and demonstrate system workflows

Qualifications

EDUCATION and / or CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from four-year college or university; or four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

EXPERIENCE:

  • Previous experience in an IT development or healthcare operational support role
  • Applications experience in either an application support or implementation role

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS:

  • Activities involve sitting for prolonged periods of time with extensive work using computer keyboard and monitor and standing/walking for majority of the day.  
  • Ability to process information and communicate data clearly and succinctly.
