Responsibilities

  • Answer incoming calls promptly and professionally while maintaining a warm and friendly tone.
  • Assist patients with scheduling appointments, verifying insurance, and responding to general inquiries.
  • Route messages accurately and efficiently to clinical and administrative staff.
  • Document patient interactions and outcomes clearly and thoroughly in the electronic medical record (EMR).
  • Collaborate with clinical and front desk teams to support smooth patient flow and communication.
  • Adhere to HIPAA and organizational privacy policies at all times.
  • Identify urgent concerns and escalate appropriately.
  • Maintain a calm and courteous demeanor, especially during high call volumes or challenging situations.

Qualifications

Education/Certification/License: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.  CPR certification is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Must be a team player, professional, comfortable with computers and be customer service oriented.  Excellent phone, people and organizational skills.  Ability to pay attention to detail and efficiently multi-task in a highly productive clinical setting.
